Abby Corrington is an Assistant Professor of Management in the School of Business at Providence College. She received her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Rice University. Broadly stated, she studies diversity and inclusion in the workplace, in contexts ranging from social interactions to the hiring process. Her research focuses on the experiences and perceptions of members of many marginalized groups, specifically on the basis of gender, race, sexual orientation, age, religion, culture, and other visible and invisible identities. The goal of her research is to help provide employees, allies, organizations, and society as a whole with information and strategies that are effective at improving workplace experiences for all.

Her research has been published in journals including Journal of Vocational Behavior; Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion; and Research in Human Resource Management, and has been featured in the Harvard Business Review, The Texas Tribune, and the Houston Chronicle. Additionally, Abby’s work has been recognized for excellence through four different granting agencies: the Doerr Institute for New Leaders, the Boniuk Institute for the Study and Advancement of Religious Tolerance, Association for Psychological Science, and the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues.

Prior to pursuing a doctorate, Abby was a senior analyst with Accenture Management Consulting, where she provided change management services to several Fortune 500 companies.

Outside of research, she enjoys running, live music, traveling, and playing the guitar.
